personal and professional life.
Dear Friends:
This issue marks the one year anniversary of "Insights for Savvy
Entrepreneurs". THANK YOU for your insights, comments and
readership. I love writing and producing this newsletter, and I
look forward to its second year!.
I'm excited to share with you that the title "Insights for Savvy
Entrepreneurs" will receive a "make over" in September. The
content and the format of the newsletter will remain the same.
Only the title will change. For more information, please see
this month's insight on freedom.
(August's insight on freedom is the second part of a two-part
article. If you missed part one, visit my newsletter archives at
http://www.metavoice.org/newsletters/20030702.)
After the July issue arrived in your e-mailboxes, I received a
wonderful note from Judy Jirku, a subscriber in Canada. I was
so inspired by her story that I wanted to share it with all of
you. You'll find her story under the "Success Story" heading
after this month's article.
My best to you,
Claudette
Insight of the Month
Set Yourself Free - Part Two
In July's insight, I wrote about the personal freedom we
experience when we let go of judgment and release the rules
about how we ought to live. Freeing ourselves from judgment and
"the rules" opens the door for another level of freedom: the
freedom to be fully who we are and express that in the world.
Personal freedom is often defined as clarity and inner peace
about who we are and what we are doing. It can elude us when we
feel trapped in our circumstances. Yet it's when we stay rooted
in our life purpose, and act from there, that we are truly free.
This month I'd like to share with you a leg of my own journey
towards inner freedom. A year ago, I conceived the "Insights
for Savvy Entrepreneurs" newsletter because I love coaching
entrepreneurs and I love being one. I think entrepreneurship is
exciting - it has an element of freedom and "breaking the rules"
which appeals to me.
Over time I've noticed that my clients share a more powerful
common thread. It's the search to be true to themselves, and to
live authentically based on their deepest desires. It's been my
honor to use my intuitive gifts to coach people to tap into
their inner wisdom and to make changes in their lives from a
place of freedom - opening themselves up to another level of
inner peace and clarity.
As I've evolved, the newsletter has evolved right along with me.
In order to remain true to what I'm offering, I'm changing the
title so that it fully reflects who I am and what I write. In
September, you'll see a new title. The format and content will
remain the same.
As I arrived at these realizations, I was reminded of:
How it isn't a small thing to be who we are in the world. We
live in a world that wants us to conform. It's HUGE to be who
we are.
Yet if we choose to hold back, how do we serve ourselves and
others?
How swiftly fear can swoop in and trap us when we face change.
I'm excited to create a name that more accurately reflects this
newsletter. What I know is that some of the best ideas stem
from co-creation. What do you think would be a great name for
this newsletter?

Now It’s Your Turn
Success Story
"Tomorrow, July 4, will be my 50th birthday and the past year
has been a year of amazing changes, personal growth and freedom
that I have never imagined possible for me.
After being laid off from a comfortable middle management job, I
decided to start my own consulting business in bookkeeping, even
though this scared me and my future was largely unknown. My main
goal was to achieve balance in my life. I wanted to have less
stress, more time for myself, and to keep physically and
mentally healthy. I also wanted to do some volunteer work now
that my children are grown up.
I am very happy to say that I feel today, the day before my 50th
birthday, that I have achieved my goal. I love my life, I love
being my own boss and having freedom to do what I want. I have
done rewarding volunteer work through which I found great new
friends.
I feel better now - at 50, than I felt 20 years ago. I have more
confidence, I feel healthier and most of all, I feel free."
