Leadership, Team and Career Assessments

Have you taken a personality or strengths-based assessment and not known how to productively apply the results?

Have you participated in a Myers-Briggs team building session and left without clear next steps?

What makes an assessment truly meaningful, useful and productive is an accurate interpretation and application of the results. How do you get that? By working with someone who's qualified to interpret the results, explain them to you clearly and help you understand the best ways to apply them.

Whether you're making a career transition, refining your skills as a leader or manager, or wanting a better understanding your natural strengths, talents and passions, these tools can transform your understanding of yourself.

All of the assessments below are effective for individuals, for teams, and for larger groups.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. The MBTI is an instrument designed to help you understand your innate personality preferences in the following areas: where you get your energy, how you take in information, how you make decisions and how you prefer to operate in the outside world. These preferences influence your leadership, communication, and conflict management styles, and help you better understand yourself and how you interact with others. For more detailed information on the MBTI, please go to http://www.metavoice.org/mbriggs. The MBTI can be combined with both the FIRO-B and StrengthsFinder 2.0 (described below) for a more comprehensive look at the your strengths and preferences.

Thomas-Kilman Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI). The TKI is the world's best selling conflict management assessment. This instrument identifies the five conflict-handling modes (competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding, accommodating), teaches people how to use their style effectively, how each style affects group dynamics, as well as how to use the most appropriate style for a given situation.

FIRO-B Assessment (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation – Behavior). The FIRO-B helps individuals and teams discover how their needs for participation, influence, and closeness create their team's success. Benefits include helping individuals understand their behavior and the behavior of others, and identifies options for increasing job satisfaction and productivity. The results of the MBTI and FIRO-B can be combined into comprehensive "Leadership Report".

StrengthsFinder 2.0. The StrengthsFinder is an online assessment designed by the Gallup organization to help people uncover their top five (out of 34) natural strengths. Once you've taken the StrengthsFinder 2.0, I can help you understand your themes and the best ways to apply them. This assessment can be combined with the MBTI for a more complete assessment of your strengths. For more information and to take this assessment, please visit www.strengthsfinder.com.
